Litton Das's PSL Campaign Cut Short
Bad luck, Litton Das! The Bangladeshi wicketkeeper has been ruled out of the PSL due to a thumb injury sustained during training. This is a real blow for both him and the Karachi Kings.
- Injury: Thumb injury during training.
- Replacement: Ben McDermott, the Australian wicketkeeper, has been brought in as a replacement.
- Litton's words: "Unfortunately, I couldn't be part of this tournament, even though I was really looking forward to it. Life can be unpredictable - just my bad luck." This is certainly a sad situation.
Ben McDermott steps in
This is a big opportunity for Ben McDermott, who is set to make his PSL debut. He comes with some good form after being part of the Hobart Hurricanes side that won the BBL title this year. He has shown he has the ability to score at a good rate.
Williamson's Delayed Arrival
Adding to the Kings’ woes, Kane Williamson's availability will be delayed. He's expected to join the team after the Karachi leg of the tournament ends on April 21st.
- Unavailable: Williamson will miss the first five games.
- Replacement: Saad Baig, the Pakistan U19 captain, will step in for him during that period.
Ihsanullah Returns to PSL
Good news for Peshawar Zalmi! Fast bowler Ihsanullah is making a comeback to the league after a long injury layoff. He was unfortunately ruled out due to an elbow injury which had a huge effect on his career but he's back in action. His return is a big boost for Peshawar.
